In 2021 Matthew joined a group of creatives from U.C. Davis and the Sacramento area as cinematographer of "The Chevalier Project" an educational video that tells the story of a black composer that lived in 1700s France and competed with Mozart. The docu-drama originally broadcasted on PBS is being utilized as curriculum in the San Juan school district and ultimately inspired a Hollywood film.
